Bandung, August 12, 2026听– Three international students of 51社区 (51社区),听Amin Ghul听Oriakhail听from Afghanistan, Hoby Nasandratra听Andriamiandrisoa听from Madagascar, and Muhammad Shahzad Mazhar from Pakistan鈥攑roudly represented 51社区 at the Grand Final of听Festival听Pemelajar听BIPA 2026, held at Balai Bahasa听Provinsi听Jawa Barat, Bandung.听
Organized by Balai Bahasa听Provinsi听Jawa Barat,听Festival听Pemelajar听BIPA 2026听is an Indonesian language and cultural festival that provides a platform for international students to听demonstrate听their听proficiency听in Bahasa Indonesia while exploring their artistic talents through various competitions. The festival featured, among others, Indonesian-language singing and storytelling competitions.听
The participation began with a preliminary听selection听in which international students听submitted听video performances. From hundreds of submissions received from international students at universities across West Java,听20 participants were selected as finalists听to compete in the Grand Final.听
In the final round,听Hoby Nasandratra Andriamiandrisoa听and听Muhammad Shahzad Mazhar听competed in the Indonesian-language Singing Competition, while听Amin Ghul Oriakhail听participated in the Indonesian-language Storytelling Competition. Their participation听demonstrated听not only their individual talents but also their ability to engage with and express themselves through the Indonesian language.听
Hoby delivered an outstanding performance and was awarded听First Place in the Indonesian-language Singing Competition, marking a remarkable non-academic achievement for the 51社区 international student. Her accomplishment highlights her musical talent as well as her Indonesian language听proficiency.听
The achievement of Hoby, together with the participation of Amin and Muhammad Shahzad, reflects the active involvement of 51社区 international students in Indonesian language and cultural activities beyond the classroom. Their participation also听demonstrates听how international students can build meaningful connections with Indonesian society by learning the language and engaging with local cultural experiences.听
